Ministerial panel: Establishment of a regional action framework for climate finance

This Side-Event led by UEMOA and BOAD aims to create a synergy of actions for the mobilization of climate finance in West Africa within a consultation framework for the financing of Nationally Determined Contributions ( CDN). Specifically, this will involve: 

• Presenting WAEMU's Climate Strategy; 
• Presenting BOAD's Climate Strategy; 
• Sharing existing climate financing experiences and opportunities in the region; 
• Discussing the technical and financial support needs of WAEMU member states; 
• Discussing the modalities of collaboration to make the comparative advantages of the two institutions assets for climate finance serving the populations of our sub-region;
• Succeeding in formalizing a BOAD – WAEMU partnership framework in terms of climate finance.
